I got a Microsoft Optical Mouse 2.0 with a usb optical receiver and a USB keyboard.. Will they work with PS3 OS or Yellow Dog Operating System in PS3?

I was trying to play yahoo pool but my mouse would grab onto the pool stick and move it around. I tried and tried to click on it and had to use the mouse on the laptop to move the stick. And then the right button on the optical mouse to shoot. It seems to be having issues, what’s up? I tried the mouse on a different surface instead of the mouse pad but it seems to still have issues.

The tingling sensation is like an electric shock and it slowly passes to the rest of my body. This effect lasts for a long time.
My mouse is a branded Compaq optical mouse.

i have a kensington wireless mouse and it will occasionally jump around the screen. it is not the connection i believe it is the surface its on. the mouse has been used on a plastic mouse pad, my desk (wood) and it will still jump around the screen. sooooooooooooo what should i use? is there a mouse pad made for optical mice?

I recently swapped my motherboard for another used board. When i completely shut the computer down, my optical mouse stays lit as if the computer were still on. When i put the computer on standby, you can hear the CPU itself shut down, but the mouse, tower lights, and tower fans stay on. I’m not sure if this is a customized setting that the previous owner had on this board or what the deal is. I would appreciate any help as how to make everything shut down properly though. Thanks!

I got a new Toshiba laptop 2 months ago and bought an optical mouse to go with it. Yesterday, the optical mouse stopped working. I changed the batteries and it still didn’t work. I tried several different USB ports. It worked for awhile and then stopped again. I rebooted the laptop and it worked for awhile, but again froze up. Today I bought a new wireless mouse (different brand) and still having the same issue. I’ve checked the settings on the laptop and it’s being detected as hardware. Any suggestions or advice?
